It certainly is possible to dive the Northern coast of Curacao. Going with Dive Charter Curacao is one option; shore diving is another. I did so several times from shore. Just don't do it on you own. The sea can be very rough on this side of the island so diving this side is only possible when the sea is reasonably calm. The bay where the boat in the movie is leaving, is a good spot for diving the North Side. It is called Playa Canoa. Check with an experienced dive guide or contact me if you want to dive there. Just know that the weather has to cooperate.
