I have 2 or 3 Global Underwater Explorers (GUE) classes happening in North Carolina in July 2015. GUE courses have only been infrequently available in this area. These classes will be based in Raleigh area.

- GUE Fundamentals split weekend Jul 10-12, 18-19: only one seat remains
- GUE Fundamentals midweek Jul 13-16: this class is FULL
- GUE Primer July 7-8 (if there is enough interest)
"4th seats" that are typically reserved for Mer's past students are either not being offered (split weekend) or are filled (midweek).

These classes are currently being organized here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/RADivers/ Interested divers should contact Mer directly at mer@gue.com

GUE Fundamentals

Click here for more information on the GUE Fundamentals Course.

This class will be taught by Meredith Tanguay in the Raleigh, NC area as a split weekend class: Jul 10-12 and Jul 18-19, 2015 and a midweek class on Jul 13-16 has at least 2 students.

GUE Fundamentals, affectionately called “Fundies,” introduces certified divers to the GUE method of diving, including GUE System equipment (backplate, wing, harness, long hose, fins, etc.), stable platform, propulsion, and basic skills useful for everyday diving and more advanced diving alike. Fundamentals is the gateway for non-GUE divers to qualify for advanced GUE training above the primer level classes. This course offers excellent training, practice, and feedback in skill refinement regardless if certification is earned or future GUE classes desired.

Skill refinement class suitable for certified divers of all levels; both those seeking further GUE training and those taking a single class to tweak skills. Nitrox training included. For more information, please contact Mer at mer@gue.com before registering.

GUE Primer

Click here for more information on the GUE Primer Course.

This class will be taught by Meredith Tanguay in Raleigh area on July 7 and 8 if there is sufficient interest. Interested divers should contact Mer directly at mer@gue.com

This 2-day extended GUE Primer introduces certified divers to the GUE method of diving, including GUE System equipment (backplate, wing, harness, long hose, fins, etc.). Focus is on buoyancy, trim, stability, control, propulsion, maneuvering, pre-dive checks, team diving, situational awareness, and why we do these things the way we do them with this specific equipment set-up. These basic skills are useful for both the 30′ reef enthusiast and the deep cave explorer alike!

GUE Primer is a great introduction to GUE diving for certified divers of all levels. Want to see if additional GUE Training is for you? Want to know what to practice to prepare for a Fundamentals class? Want to dive a backplate and wing for first time? Just want to pick up a few tricks or refine a few diving skills? Then this class is for you! For more information, please contact Mer at mer@gue.com .
