We have found that the dinner portions are on the slim side at places other than Casablanca, and Buenos Aires. We are not looking for a Vegas Buffet or a plate piled like Mt Everest but an ice cream scoop of rice is not enough even for our 9 yr old kid let alone us. After diving, we do have an appetite. Are there any other places where we won't go away hungary?

Ronski 101,

We found the portions at Richards and It Rains Fishes to be decent size. Certainly no smaller than the meals at Kincaid's in RB or RocknFish in MB back here in So Cal.

Try Papaya Moon. Good portion sizes (along the lines of typical American portions) and good prices....not to mention really nice owners and good service. We also found good portion sizes at Rum Runners (Capt. Don's) as well as reasonable prices. And of course pizza and lasagna at Pasa Bon Pizza. :D

Just to name a couple....

I agree with Divemaven. Also the City cafe seemed pretty good for portions and quality. The rib place above KFC was also good with a great view of the bay.

Never really thought portions were small and I too can eat! We usually have left overs from Papaya Moon, Capt Don's and the burgers at Lions Den. Don's makes a local stew w/ bean cakes, Baka Stoba, that serves as my dinner and lunch next day. I actually like Capt Don's pizza as well and it is reasonable size and price. Subway in town is standard sized - must have a SSI (Subway Surface Interval). (Though last trip they failed to put the MEAT on buddies sub. He had cheese and veggies, so keep an eye open. We didn't discover it until back at Margate, other buddy and I scouting entry while my buddy was left to eat in truck. He was an unhappy camper, I think they heard him screaming up in the Park.) We find sharing a salad and 2 entrees at Salsa (great homemade bread) is perfect, no room for dessert. Are you eating 3 meals a day? I do keep snacks on hand - fruit, cheese and bread - for that mid-afternoon snack.
