Welcome to the Emerald Sea, and to :sblogo:!

We have superb diving here, both shore and boat, and if you're used to diving in Texas, I don't think our viz will bother you a bit. Give me a shout if you want some company to explore some of our local dive sites.

No diving in TX, I'm a newbie. About 7 years of snorkling in the Red Sea and Arabian Gulf. Read your blog, laughed my butt off. I'll have to take you up on the tour offer some time although I'm not so sure about going with a trauma junkie! My wife is long time (found it's better not to say dinosaur) ER nurse at Auburn Regional. Are you on the NWDC site?

If your wife is an ER nurse at Auburn Regional, she probably already knows one of my favorite dive buddies, DAN and PADI instructor extraordinaire ... Valerie Lyttle. Welcome to Pugetropolis ... there's no lack of folks out here happy to take a newbie diving. TSandM would be among the tops you'd ever be fortunate enough to get hooked up with ...

I'm LCF on the NWDC site. And I'm a pretty risk-averse diver; working in the ER will do that to a person.

Offer still open to play "discover local diving" host!

She does indeed work with Val! I'm trying to do Walt's class next month so I should be looking for folks to show me the way soon! I played firefighter long enough that I like air management and self-preservation!

Now that I'm teaching again I gotta stop by and talk to Walt about doing another gas management seminar ...

Given the glowing recommendations about you on the other site, I think that I would be more than happy to attend any seminar you taught! (not kissing butt here either!)

I'm a Texas transplant, too! You're gonna love it up here. However, as you know, no one is as nice as they are in Texas. If you want to go diving shoot me a PM.

Bob's gas management seminar was the first wake-up call I got that I didn't know nearly as much about diving as I thought (and hoped) I did. It's a must-do. And there are a couple of other instructors locally (Brian Wiederspan, Scott Christopher, and my husband) who do them, too.
