Hey everyone,

Just found this great forum so a few words about myself. I got my PADI Open Water in Spain in 2007 (divecostablanca) and really fell in love with the water. But as it turned out I wasn't able to organize any diving (still feel Iceland is too cold, but apparently it has some amazing diving) until this spring when I did a beach dive from the Somaliland coast into the Red Sea (pretty fun refresher, some porcupine fish were the highlight - and no pirates!).

Am heading to Sri Lanka soon for a short break where I'll get in a couple more dives.

One question that I have has to do with logging. My log is unfortunately with my stuff in storage at home in Iceland while I live and work abroad. So it only has the course dives from Spain and not the Red Sea dive, nor will it have the Sri Lanka dives. Can I still use .pdf log pages to capture my recent and upcoming dives and essentially therefore have an electronic dive log?

Welcome aboard.
My Suunto Cobra logs my dives, and I 'usually' download the dives to Dive Manager after the diving day is done and fill in details. However, I have taken to keeping a few blank hard copy sheets in my day pack to fill in things I might forget. You can probably find a generic paper log book to keep with you while you travel at any dive shop. Enjoy the diving.

Erlinger - do you have any details of your Somaliland dive? Where was it & who with? Do you have contact details for the operator? Thanks.
