The DAN/Rolex Diver of the Year Award is easily one of the most prestigious awards given out in the dive industry. This award recognizes an outstanding individual who has significantly contributed to scuba diving safety or the mission of DAN. From what I've read about on this forum, Edd Sorenson would be my nomination. He has heroically rescued several cave divers in the last year.
