just picked up this bc yesterday and now have my two alu 80s set up for side mount. I also strapped a 2 pounder on each tank. but my question is will the bc itself hold enough weight? It holds 12 pounds and I'm wearing a drysuit and heavy undergarments along with dry gloves, 7mm hood, 6mm boots. I'm 6' 2" and weigh 175 pounds so I'm pretty thin. I'm going diving tomorrow so I guess ill know then but if anyone dives similar set up I'm wondering how its working for you?

I wouldn't put weights on the al80's, it's not a great idea. Not sure who is still teaching that, but it's pretty counterproductive. If you want to use them so they dive like steels, then just get steel tanks. Otherwise, take advantage of the AL80's buoyancy characteristics in sidemount and deal with the slight inconvenience of putting them on the front d-rings when they get to 2k.

Did you purchase the weight plate with the rig or no? I don't believe the LS has any weight pockets built into it, but the weight plate will accept up to 15lbs. I would be surprised if that is enough in a drysuit with heavy undergarments, but could be wrong.

well the aluminum tanks were free. I have the back plate weight and can only get 12 pounds of soft weight in it. so fully geared for 50 degree water today I was neutral with the 16 pounds with full tanks so I added 4 pounds to the weight belt and was great the whole dive.
