Why can I get stills but no video when i try to transfer from my go pro 6 to Microsoft windows 7 computer?

I am new to this camera so I don't know. How do I change out of it into something that will allow viewing on a computer?

Are you saying the files cannot be found on your computer or that they just won't play?

All 4K and some 2.7K resolutions are recorded using H265 (HEVC) which are more demanding in CPU power and codec. You can convert to H264 using Handbrake and other converters. I use an app called Any Video Converter.

Sometimes the videos will fall into another file...do you have a video file? Look for Mp4

Thanks for the help as I was successful in downloading handbrake which makes the video viewable.
