Hey everyone,

i am interested in getting a "no handed" second stage regulator. I am looking for a relible relatively compact second stage. I will be using this in my sidemount kit. So any input on what you have used would be greatly appreciated.

Sherwood dual octo looked like a good idea. But, you can't change the mouthpiece angle without taking the item apart. It is kind of quirky and sensitive to adjustment. The first one I got was replaced under warranty.

Not as good as other Sherwood products.

Aren't all Poseidon's no-handed...

Yes, all Poseidon's are no handed. So are Oceanic Omega's, which is why I have 2 of them for my sling bottles.

Check out the Dacor Viper 2nd stages. Since it has a side exhaust, there isn't any up or down and it works equally well with the hose coming in from either the right or left side.

I have one for my octo because it's impossible to donate it upside down.

Apeks XTX series can have the hose coming from the right or the left and is easily switchable.
