I am thinking about obtaining a 7 ltr twin set 300 bar, they have been nitrox cleaned and tested, But I have been told that you cannot fill nitrox up tp 300 bar as the gas seperates, this info was from a non reliable source can any body shed some light on this. :54:

It's more that the ideal gas laws start to break down above around 250bar. The real problem is more that there are very few places in the UK that can supply 300b nitrox to start with, so there's very little point in paying more for heavier cylinders you are almost certainly only going to get filled to 230b anyway - you'd gain far more by getting a set of 232b 10l instead

You might be better off with a 12litre 232 bar twin for the reasons flw mentioned. I'm pretty sure if you start wreck diving then you'll regret buying such small tanks. There aren't that many 300 bar nitrox compressors out there yet (and none on boats that I know of) and if you can't fill them to 300 bar then they're just too small.

I have never heard of this....I don't see why not, I would imagine that places bank EANx bank it at 4500psi...which is higher than 300 bar.

I would say have a chat with your bird...but that is usually futile as birds just don't ever listen.

Alright...this is the second time in as many days that someone has posted the exact same question in 2 threads....please please do not do this. Pick an area and post there.
