Hi there,
Quite new to underwater photography, got a really nice compact Nikon camera (s710) and dedicated ikelite housing. I've just been playing around with it and realised that it isn't possible to adjust any of the manual settings (shutter speed, aperture, iso) when using the ikelite housing. This is because the these functions are set using the rotary wheel on the camera, but the underwater housing only gives push button access!!
Was quite disappointed, as it's a nice camera and not being able to use the manual mode underwater severely limits your options. Unfortunately I didn't give this issue enough thought when I purchased the set. Tho I do hope anyone considering this (or a similar) combination does take note of this limitation. Alternatively, if someone out there has figured out a work around, I would be most happy to hear from you. Best wishes!
