When I (r) click "properties" it says my shot is in shutter priority. (On my computer) EVEN when I shot it in manual....The camera itself (D-100) says whatever I set the mode on, accurately. My images are looking funny....soft and just not quite right. It was suggested that I send it in for new firmware. My query is, if the camera is reading correctly, can I eliminate this as the problem, and suspect a software issue?

I really hate the idea of mailing it off from Hawaii, needlessly.

yea...now you tell me. I just like the "sound" of NIKON so much better. No rational decisions for me..... :confined: I have three lenses you know...maybe two thousand dollars.

I think I need to confirm that the properties is reading the stuck "shutter priority" on all my computers, not just this one. ...sigh...wish Ron Frank lived next door. Who around here is a computer/camera wiz? Besides you, of course. I did e-mail Nikon, they say send it in. That just does not make sense to me yet. If the camera reads accurately, can't I eliminate that variable?
