I use the D200 w/ 105VR in a Sea & Sea housing. Works great and they have a special custom 105VR port that will allow for a focus gear if you like, but I prefer the standard flat port with a 40mm ext ring. I don't own any focus gears on any of my lenses, I am quite happy with autofocus.

Take care,
John

It will fit the Fantasea FD80 Housing with the standard port and just an extension ring. No manual focus.

It's a tight fit past one control, but I found it slid in ok. Fits and works very well.

I shoot it in the Sea & Sea housing for my D200. I use the NX Custom Flat Port with the XS Extension Ring. The port guide says you have to use the DX Macro Port 50 with the DX Macro Port Base.

There is a ridge in the NX Custom Flat Port that will not allow the 105mm VR to fit. I could find no purpose for the ridge, so I had it ground out. Now I can use the 105mm VR with no problem.

Even better, I use the NX Custom Flat Port with my 60mm lens. Now I have one less port to travel with.

Ryan Canon at Reef Photo custom made a focus gear for me.

I found I can get the Ikelite with the proper port - are there any other housings available to contain this slr/lens combo?

I have an Ike housing for my D200 and the 105VR works fine. I also use the same port for the 60 macro.
