I have a coolpix 885. This was a hand me down when I got the wife a new canon DSLR. I also bagged a like-new Ikelite housing for it. I guess my next question is where do I start? I looked on the Ikelite web page hoping to download an owners manual but that ain't happening. I doesn't look to difficult, but some basic questions come to mind.
Do I need to lube the back panel gasket? What is balancing? I asked at my local PADI shop about the digital class and they sort of suggested it would be better to take the class on a dive vacation yadda yadda yadda.
So next time I go to the great barrier reef I will be sure to do that........

I am guessing I will have to set the Nikon to be on all the time rather than go into a sleep mode.
Is there a good general referance book out there for underwater rookie digital paparatzzi?
