Been looking around for an underwater case for my camera. The Nikon version (WP-CP3) seems to cost around $200+. I'm not looking to spend more than I did on the camera. What other options do I have? Does anyone else make a case for this camera?
I did find the Fantasea CP-6 which is around $140. Why the difference in price? I'd appreciate any help you can give.

Thanks,

Tim

It's a Nikon... :-)

The Fantasea housing has 6 camera controls, not sure about the Nikon. Fantasea's new housings have all camera controls, but this one is older.

Here's a link to the page; Coolpix 4600 case

I can match that price, but I do have flat rate per order shipping of $25, so if that's all you want, you might want to buy it from B&H or wherever. My housing sets and strobe sets are better values overall.

Anyone have any pictures taken with this camera and case? I love the camera, but I was wondering how well it will take pictures underwater without the extra strobes or additional accessories.

If the camera cannot be shot manually, I would not bother taking it underwater. Other important feature is either the ability to shoot RAW, or manual white balance. These are especially necessary when shooting without a strobe.

HTH,
Dave
