If you rent a light for a night dive does it come with some sort of retractor to connect it to your bc ?

Every night ! Lots of fun, lots of bottom time (very shallow) and lots of creatures. A couple of times there was a current, but it didn't seem to last very long. I saw lots of animals, great video of octopus, torpedo ray, greater soapfish, crabs , lobsters and more. Pay attention to the urchins (sharp) and your depth while near the pier as boats loading and unloading divers can be a hazard.
I think it was $6.00 (US) for tank and weights.

Great! I had heard it was an interesting night dive 25 ft depth, and there was lots of critters and such, as you confirm. That beats going out by boat to a site for night dive, it's right there. Current was managable?

What you'll see on a night dive from a boat is different stuff than you'll see right there at the hotel. Both are worth doing.
The current right along the shore is variable in most places, but usually pretty tame. The La Ceiba site is sheltered, so there is usually no current there at all until you get quite a ways out.
