I am looking for tank marker lights and/or suggestions ....aside from calumine sticks.

I have looked at the small LED powered light sticks and I see so-so reviews on them

I have recently seen comments/posts from people stating they have used the Pelican Mini-Flasher (2130C) as a strobe/marker

Any suggestions or examples of what people are using for night dive tank markers would be great.....have a live-aboard week coming up in three weeks was looking to have something new by then.

I'd recommend you get a dive light and forget the tank light (especially a flashing one). Flashing is annoying and if you're buddy can't see your dive light he is not going to see your tank light.

If a tank light is required for some reason there are versions with replaceable batteries and that don't flash.

why not calumine sticks?
The glow sticks to which the OP was referring are usually of the disposable variety.
For a one hour night dive, most people would probably say that a tank marker light running on batteries is more eco-friendly than a disposable glow stick.

By the way, we are talking about "Cyalume" sticks, right?

LOL....my bad on the spelling yes bubbletrouble "Cyalume" and yes....eco-friendly is what I am looking for.....
