I am currently shooting with a Canon A40 Digital in the Canon UW housing. I am looking at upgrades and curios what will make the most difference (and in what order?), all things aside from learning how to properly use the camera ;-). The upgrades that I am looking at are the following:

All can be found here: http://www.seaandsea.com/dig_conv_lens.html

1: Lens Adaptor (given)
2: either the 20mm WA conversion or the 16mm WA conversion lens
3: a strobe, what brand / type? I am considering currently the YS-25 DX or the YS-90 DX….however both are slightly more than I would really like to spend ;-)
4: any filters, red etc…?

Any and all ideas / comments greatly appreciated!

Here are some shots that I took last week in the FL Keys w/ the camera (first dive w/ this camera)

Note: I will be posting more pics as time permits!

I think that all things considered they turned out well, considering that I was using to high of a film-speed setting and got a little grainy…..it’s a learning curve…or not enough caffeine!

Any comments concerning better photograph quality etc also welcome!

I love your River of Fish and Looking out from the Cloud...Very nice!

In purchasing order....

1. Adapter ring...taken care of.
2. YS90DX Strobe. If you are going to get a WA lens, you need the extra coverage of the 90.
3. My favorite is the 20mm. With some creative strobe placement, you can cover most of the photo. You can't cover it with the YS25. With the 16mm, you'll pretty much need 2 strobes. At least this was my experience with the 16mm and 2 strobes with my old film set-up.
4. With a strobe, you don't need filters. Some use them but the whole picture is affected. For instance, with a red filter, blue in shallow water will look lavendar. I sold mine and never regretted it.

Thanks for the info, I was thinking along those lines....the 90 cost is not much more..and does have much larger coverage....

I also posted a few more pics on the above site...
