Hello,

My name is Jody. I wanted to introduce myself. I am a newly OW certified diver May 2012. Shortly after being certified I did my first ocean dive in Belize. I have to admit after doing ocean ow dives I`m addicted. I cant wait to get back to the ocean. I did have several problems my first few dives but it didn`t scare me away. My next adventure should be in November......just trying to figure out where to go.

I have viewed Scubaboard in the past but recently decided to register so I could enjoy all the benefits is has to offer.

Welcome to SB! I've found a ton of helpful advice on here and I'm sure you will too. Plus it's always fun to share fish tales.

It's also good to see another Texan.

Thanks for the reply Toefrog

"Fish Tales" seems to be a big part of diving and dive boat boasting.....lol
Ive heard mermaids stories, the elusive dophin sighting....this just makes diving even more fun. What has been your favorte dive destination so far?

I'm fairly new to diving and got certified back in 2010. I would have to say that my favorite dives so far were in Key Largo last year. Saw a huge sea turtle napping in the reef, tons of fish, nurse sharks, Goliath grouper, eels, and even a few stingrays. I did get to see stingrays mating in Cancun which was pretty awesome as well.

I'm currently in Kona, Hi and I'm getting ready to go diving this morning. Hopefully we will see some good stuff.

I love living in the DFW area for diving, plenty of good local places like CSSP and Athens Scuba Park as well as being a pretty short flight to Cozumel.

Saw dolphins today on the first dive, octopus, eagle rays, and a lizardfish. I'm not bragging or anything.
