Hey everyone! I'm new here, and a little link keeps telling me to post here, so I am! :D I am not a certified diver yet, but have wanted to for as long as I can remember. I got the closest I've ever come this past summer, and was all set, but my dive buddy dropped last minute... and I didn't want to get certified all alone. Sooo, all that to say, I'm waiting as of now. And it really stinks. I have been on a couple dives with friends of mine, but I want to be official. Anyways, glad to be here... makes me feel at least a little closer to getting my c-card! ;) Adios!

I won't preach alot but it's not really safe to dive with friends. Even if they have cert's. They know how to dive but if poo ever hits the fan ... oh well! They are not trained for the problems that can accure and save your life.

Now get in a class and get your cert. You'll meet new friends there and then you'll have a new set of buddies to! You don't know how many people meet in class and become friends.

Good luck!

welcome aboard

Oh, no, don't worry. Those friends of mine were dive masters... and I had to take a little class before I did them... it was safe. :) Ya, don't worry, I wouldn't go w/ just anyone...
