I'm going on a weeklong liveaboard in the Bahamas in a few months and want to "cut my teeth" in underwater photography. I own a Canon A570IS with the Canon WP-DC12 housing. My local dive shop recommended I purchase a strobe to really improve the picture quality I'll see.

From a small amount of research, I've found that the Inon-D2000 sTTL strobe seems to be one of the recommended ways to go. A few questions:

1. Will I really see a noticeable difference in picture quality using a strobe?
2. Is this the recommended seetup for this camera? Any other suggestions?
3. I found it online for $855, which includes:

Inon D-2000 Ultra Mulitmode Strobe
UltraLight Control Systems' Digital Tray with Handle and Base Ball
2 UltraLight Control Systems' arms (3", 5")
3 clamps
Inon Strobe Adapter
Inon Optical D Cable/Cap set for your camera*

Fair price for this package??

ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED!! THANKS!!

I would get the Inon tray, arms, D2000 strobe and AD adapter along with the Inon 165AD fisheye lens and their 165AD macro lens.

Yes, the strobe is wonderfull for closeups and in clear water you can turn it off for ambient or use it for center fill. I would also get the diffuser screen for the D2000. It builds into something like this:
