Hello all! Freshly certified in OW & nitrox and eager to get my feet wet with some real-life dives. My only regret is that I didn't do this twenty years ago!

My classes have been great and I'm fortunate to be living in a a state with so many excellent "local" dive sites. I'm looking forward to learning more and improving my skills through as much diving as I can schedule and/or afford. I think it will be a life-long process to perfect zen and the art of buoyancy control.

It would be great to meet some dive buddies from around these parts or here in FL on vacation. I'll be on vacation in Maui around Thanksgiving so I want to get some good dives in before that.

It's been nice reading the intro posts and "meeting" you all.

Thanks,
T.

Congratulations on the new certifications. I would recommend calling a local club and see if there are any members looking for a buddy btwn now and the time you are departing for Maui... I would also recommend if you have the time, give the Philippines a try, there is great diving all over the country and it is relatively inexpensive.

Cheers

Thanks Rogersea. That is good advice and I'll check for some buddies for that trip.

I've never been to the Philippines but I go to Malaysia a few times a year, sometimes for a while. Air Asia has some cheap flights so I may be able to take some time off and pop over.

I sure envy you access to some of the sites in your area. Welcome aboard :happywave:

Thanks, I appreciate the welcome. Australia has always been on my bucket list and one of these days I'll get out there.

If you ever come to FL, look me up.

Hi, Congrads. Isn't diving wonderful. My daughter and I got certified this past summer. We live on the east coast of Fl. My best friend and I did a little diving together 20 years ago, she kept up with it and I moved away and I regret that I didn't stay with it. Now us 3 girls are good 2 go. So, better late than never.
Karen
