I'm brand new here. Been diving for 15 years. Getting ready to go to Cozumel with my two sons who will be just-certified divers (hopefully). Can't wait.

Avoid Cozumel at all cost. Do not take your newly certified sons there. :no Diving Cozumel for a newly certified diver is certain to cause a sever infection of "gotta dive" for which there is no inexpensive cure. Failure to heed this advice will invariably result in the purchase of expensive SCUBA gear and lots of dive travel in the future. :11: Please, Please, Please confine yourself to only cold water diving in lakes and ponds with no visibility as this will not trigger the "gotta dive" and "gotta travel to dive" response in new divers like a dip in Cozumel's waters will.
By the way, how about a little info in the old profile like where in the world you live etc.
Welcome.. I loved Cozumel.. beautiful place. Although I couldnt dive there cause I wasnt yet certified but I intend on going back on a dive trip. The water there is absolutely amazing.

It's really happening. One son got certified this past weekend. We received the passport for the other in the mail. I finalized the the airline and the hotel. My two sons and I will be at the Scuba Club Cozumel the week of 15 September. I'm really grateful to all on this site for the trip reports and recommendations. This is like a dream come true for me.
