Newbie from southern Illinois

Recent transplant to southern Illinios, moved from Dallas, father is reitred U.S. Army so I grew up all over the world.

Got my PADI cert over ten years ago, but have not dove since 06. I am looking to get back into diving, certification, etc found this forum. My kids, now ten, are interested so I am back at it to catch up on all I have forgotten. I am looking to increase my knowledge and enjoy the diving lifestyle I have neglected for too long.

Welcome to :sblogo:. It's good to hear that you are getting back into diving and possibly including the kiddos. It sounds like you could all go through training and get certified together. Summer is coming fast...get those certs and get ready to dive.

Welcome! You look like you're about equal distance from 2 big diving sites. 1 is Mermet Springs located near Joplin, IL. The other is Bonne Terre Mines in SE Mo. Both offer OW training. Mermet is an old flooded limestone quarry & Bonne Terre is basically a lake in an old flooded lead mine. Might check into these for training & dive sites!
