Hi all I will be starting my online courses on Saturday and hope too get the rest done soon after. I have breathed under H20 before however never trained (DUMB DUMB I KNOW). I will mostly be a fresh water diver, however; do hope too get some salt under my BCD. I have my own tank (80 steel) and possibly a first/second stage but they have yet too be tested (Aquarius Aqua-Lung). I just got my tank hydro tested and it was good, they also filled it for me (only because I am getting into class and with NO USE without a instructor hand shake).

What I am hopping too get out of SCUBA is.

1. Spend time with friends (some already do this).
2. Learning about the world around me.
3. Brake the heat (I live in the desert yet can see a lake HE HE).
4. Have another outdoor activity too do (already into rock climbing, hiking, camping, kayaking, mining, archery, swimming, biking, 4x4, and many more on a regular basis).
5. Finding lost items in the lake (with metal detector).
6. Take up the last 20sec of my spare time (LOL).

I am a true :dork2: that makes sure I do something outdoor once a week and its been hitting 115-120 here and swimming is the only sport that keeps me cool so I am hopping that scuba will be a good alternative. I have already found that our local club does a dive every Thursday so I have partners. I am also going too get my family involved, in fact; they are going for a test dive Saturday at a local dive shop.

I have already been reading the forums for a week or so and decided I would like the ability too post.

Sorry for the long winded intro.
