I know I haven't posted here in forever! Mostly because I haven't really been able to dive lately. I just got back from a wedding in New Zealand and thought I'd share a few of the pictures!

Matt

here is one of the NZ countryside

SillyGrendel,

Thanks for the amazing pics you took. Must've been a really good friend for you to fly over to their wedding. How long was the flight from the east coast?? 24 hours or so?

Glad to hear from you again, it's been quiet around here without you:)

A former girlfriend of mine, 10 years ago, moved to NZ to become a missionary. She has nothing but praises for the country. Mostly agriculture in NZ, right?

Dan

He was my best friend the year I studied in Melbourne and asked me 2 years ago if I wanted to be one of the groomsman. With that much advance notice I couldn't really say no! So I was mostly ready for the trip.

Yip. About a 24 hour trip over. Yes, NZ is mostly agricultural.

Very nice pictures

I always got the impression that NZ had a moderate climate. Something like Virginia perhaps. From your pictures it looks like the vegetation is almost tropical.

What is the climate like? And how about the diving?

NZ is fairly moderate. Its spring there now so all sorts of green things are starting to grow! Although I think it has just about every climate region there is. During the time I was there it did get pretty cold at night. If you travelled all the way up to the bay of islands its is a more tropical climate.

Unfortunately I didn't get to do any diving :( After the wedding I was travelling around with a friend I hadn't seen in 2 years. Considering the limited time we had together she would have KILLED me if I took a day to dive.

Perhaps next time! But the diving around the Bay of Islands and then some around Wellington I've heard is decent!
