NEW VINTAGE REGS FOR SALE, I have a friend, Gim Gheorghe that has a 1962 Mistral DH reg, a USD Conself 14 (still in the box) and a Zegel (sorry not vintage but still a good deal) for sale. I would also like to mention that Gim is also the owner of Abyss Diving Suits Ltd and he makes about the best neopreen dry suit available. His suits are can be seen on Clive Cussler's show "Wreck Hunters"
Gim is looking for $400 canadian for the single hose regs and, hold on to your seat, $1800 for the DH, remember that this is a brand new reg.
You can reach Gim at Abyss Diving Suits Ltd
or abyss@eastlink.ca or ph. at 902-826-2954

That Mistral is a Royal Mistral. On ebay you might get 250-400 for the Royal Mistral, the Conshelf will go for 200 or less, in the economy most likely a lot less.

I know that I will be sticking with my aqua master but if you are a collector and want a reg that hasn't ever been in the water you are going to have to pay premium. I would love to own the DH and even the Conself for that matter but I would want to dive them and I don't think that that would add to their value much.

The thing is, is that there is not much of a collectors market for Conshelf XIV's and if you know someone in the military you can get a new one from Aqualung.

The Royal has had the color worn off of the tag and can't be considered to be new old stock, it's just a clean DH.

Now I know a guy who bought a Blue Label Broxton DH Aqualung that was 100% new in the box. In fact the box had never been opened till the sale and the single piece hose/mouth piece assembly still had a new rubber smell. That reg went for $1,000 5 years ago before the economy went south and prices crashed. None of these regs are in that category

You might want to inform your friend that you can buy brand new Zeagle DSV from authorized dealers with full warranties for under $400.
