My name is Jef and I live in Middle Tennessee. I have been wanting to be a scuba diver ever since I was a little guy watching Jacques Cousteau on TV in the 70s. "Wow. That is what I want to do when I grow up."
Well, I grew up.
The company I work for moved their office recently and right around the corner is a little place called Bluewater Scuba. Cool. I was like a moth to a flame.
I have already purchased my first professional mask and snorkel and some older fins that are to be replaced soon with a sweet pair of Scubapro twin jets or novas (undecided- i started a thread on that actually), followed by a Henderson Wetsuit I have been eyeballing on the rack. Money is tight right now (truck just died) so I have to buy one piece at a time, when I can. I plan on eventually having my own personal reg,bcd and tank, maybe by next summer.
I will begin getting certified next month sometime and I am very excited about this. I can barely contain myself. I am ecstatic to think that one day in the future I may get to swim with a dolphin in its natural habitat. Just thinking about it makes me...blissful.
