I am a 49 year old male, recently moved to Saint Helena Island and am looking for experienced divers to buddy up with, for local shore or boat dives.
My primary interests are spearfishing with a pole spear, wreck diving, and collecting artifacts / fossils. I have a S.C. Salt Water Commercial License and Artifact/Fossil permit.
I have been diving since 1985 and spent 5 years as a professional divemaster on Captiva Island Florida.
I am just getting wet after a 9 year break in diving. I have over 2000 dives under my belt before that, with over 250 night dives and half of the rest in poor visibility.
approximately 1000 of my total dives were as a professional divemaster on a Gulf of Mexico twice daily dive boat, and quite a few night trips.
I do not yet have a boat but will be doing a lot of diving in the bays and off the beaches unless I can find some people with a boat to tag along with.
I can be reached at my online phone number 802-560-4646. Hope to make some new dive buddys, see you out there. :coffee:

Welcome to the board!

Here are some tips to make your time at Scubaboard a fantastic experience:

1. Fill out your profile. This lets us get to know you! Who knows, maybe there are others out there who share your love of underwater basket weaving!

2. Check out the forum on Scubaboard that is specific to your geographical location.

3. Don't hesitate to ask any dive-related questions you may have. There WILL be someone here who knows the answer. There also may be people who are sarcastic or attempt to make you feel silly for asking questions. Keep in mind that Scubaboard is like a salad bar. Take what you like and leave the rest!

4. When available, really get involved IN PERSON. Several of us regularly attend local functions where we dive and dine together. It really does enhance your Scubaboard experience!

Welcome!
