Hello Everyone!

I just want to start off by saying I am new to ScubaBoard.com. I hope that this forum is not tainted (like others) with arrogant bastards that have nothing good to say. I am here to hopefully make some new dive buddies, and discuss all things dive related. I am a newer diver, I have been certified for 1year 3months, and just completed my advanced open water course. But there is still a lot that I need to learn.

Hi Lee.
I'm new to scuba board and Diving too, Can somebody tell me how to make a forum? I need to find people's opinion on Body glove's mask but can't seem to find any forum related to review of body glove masks.

Thank you in advance.

Welcome to SCUBAboard!

Welcome aboard

 do explain what exactly you mean?

ohh. welcome.

Im just here to learn more about scuba, and to hopefully make some friends in my area to dive with. I have seen multiple sites where the people on them were pompous ass wholes who think that if you are not on their level in diving, they talk down to you and they try and say that anything and everything you do is stupid and you should not be diving. If someone is doing something "Wrong" then its fine to say so, but tell the individual how to correct the issue as well. Thats the kind of stuff im talking about.

You'll find things like that every where, I have found on here most people are honest and desire to be helpful. If you do find replies that are rude or not helpful, ignore them. Someone can only hurt your feelings if you care what they think. Also keep in mind that things in print don't always read like they sound in the persons head that typed it in, so take it with a grain of salt.

...and welcome to Scubaboard!

First off welcome aboard. I've been here for a bit, pretty much keep to myself, but come here often to learn and absorb what I can. As for your fears, a lot of times people read things and interpret them differently than the writer had meant for it to be taken. If you are polite, ask questions and enjoy yourself, you'll be fine. You will always get some kind of smartass answers no matter where you are, but that's why we have thick skin, right?
My personal opinion is that there is no such thing as a stupid question. Maybe a little off the wall, but not stupid. Especially if it can end up being safety related.
Cruise around, use the search function often, and enjoy yourself!
