Hi
I was told that Scuba Board was the place to make a post to the diving community by my dive shop so I signed up. I have been diving for 20 years all over the world and recently had a bad experience at Waidroka Bay Resort in Fiji. There was no A/C, so we left the windows open while we were gone to dinner and had our room broken into. They cut the screen, went through the window and proceeded to help themselves to over $1500 worth of electronics, dive gear and dive clothes. There was no safe in the room and no property security. The room was the "panoramic view" rooms way away from the main property with no sensor lights. The owner said "it has never happened before" but I don't believe that. Since the resort was very isolated on the south side of the main island, it had to be someone that had taken advantage of divers before we came along. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend staying here-- thought you should know.
