Hello. Hope someone can help me. I am looking to purchase a seatec manta custom that I have found. However the person can't tell me wether it is back flotation only, or if it has some side flotation also. Is anyone knowledgable enough to help me? Thanks Rick

Hi Rick:

I had a Seatec Manta BC many many years ago. It was a jacket design then. I did like it, but it was very flimsy when I used the straps to mount doubles. I got rid of it and bought a ScubaPro Stab Jacket, that I still own and use from time to time. If the Seatec Manta is the same design as what I had, and you want to dive a single tank, I think it's OK. Since this was a long time ago, the design could have changed. It should be very easy for the person you are talking about to see if it is back flotation.

But with all the new designs out there, ScubaPro, Cressi, Zeagle, etc., look around before you buy. I now use a ScubaPro Knighthawk BACK FLOTATION BC, and I really like it. Good Luck.
