Interesting. Could give GoPro a run for their money. Sony certainly has a far better understanding of the technology.

The housing looks to be made from the same cheap plastic as the housing for the Drift camcorder which is very much like the Contour.

Doesn't look like you have access to the LCD underwater or any of the buttons. There is also a new one from JVC New JVC ADIXXION Camcorder Ready for Action | JVC Consumer Press Releases not sure about UW housing there.
Also this interesting one called camone infinity CamOne Infinity brings interchangeable lenses to the action video camera market | The Verge. It has changeable lenses and use a round housing for underwater which you rotate for land or UW focus.
