Anyone used the new Z240 Snoot set from Inon?

I have not used a snoot before, but I like the idea a lot.
The Inon looks good but pricey. Debating whether to splurge, or experiment with a DIY. I also heard that reefnet is making a fiber optic snoot. Anyone know of a release date?
