I bought this regulator last year supposedly from the original owner. I was told it had never been used. I take that with a grain of salt and so should you. That being said I have no reason to believe differently. This reg looks as though it has never been used. The chrome is almost perfect. Although I have not opened it up, the inside that I can see is spotless. Absolutely pristine condition. I'm honestly not sure what this is worth. Let's say $400 obo. (Make an offer and if I'm off my rocker say so.)

It is a piece of history. The Navy used them for some significant deep dives in 1979. I still have a copy of the original dive tests conducted by NEDU (Naval Experimental Dive Unit) on this regulator somewhere. I grew up in Panama City Beach and it was one of the last things I had first hand knowledge of before I went in the service myself. I know there was an upgrade kit prior to being discontinued. It was an extremely light breather. I will see if I can find my copy of the test. I can't remember if it had the MK2 or MK5 first stage for Navy use. That will be documented in the test report.

I have been diving an original pilot for the last 4 years and it is a great regulator. I am sure it is worth your asking price to someone who isvlooking for a museum piece or who is able to restore and dive it. I'm just not sure i could sneak a third pilot past my wife. So, in the hopes of getting the ball rolling, i will make an offer of $250 plus shipping and hope someone else want it more than i do

I'm interested and have a couple of service kits left to ensure it's in working condition, but I already have one and $250 is too rich for me.
