Hey all. 29 y/o M, been a diver for a few years, almost exclusively on vacations. I'm moving out to San Diego in a couple of weeks and I want to turn this from a twice a year thing into a weekend thing. I'm looking for:

1) Dive buddies

2) Help putting together a dive kit. I have fins, a mask, and a camera but the rest I've always rented. I think I'm finally ready to make the investment and buy everything

3)Help getting into spear fishing. This is one of those things I've never done but always wanted to do. Anyone know of a good class or something where I can get started? I'm on the Gulf coast now, and can travel for a class if its good.

Welcome aboard!!!! And welcome to SoCal where we can dive every weekend!
Like Slater said..Power Scuba is a great group of divers that will help you get wet as much as you want...they have a sub-forum here too: Power Scuba
And please feel free to drop on down to your new local forum and join in the fun here: SoCal
