A lot of good diving in both locations! So what do you like? A lot of great wrecks of NP like the Roan, The Hassian Wreck, Bahama Mama, the Sisters and a lot more. The Lost Blue Hole, Periwinkle Reef, The Tongue of the Ocean offers a bunch of great wall dives and sites. Deep? Wreck? You have a greater verity around NP, but if isolation and great beaches is your deal? Then Andros has some great reefs, but they are more the typical Caribbean reef unless you go way north where the tongue meets the north part of Andros and there are some great pristine sites!

The following is from a recent trip to those areas of the Bahamas: http://twotankedproductions.com/traveltripinformation/caribbeanexploreri.html

You will have good diving at both spots, it is more what you are looking for topside. At Andros you will have beautiful beaches and a quiet remote self contained dive resort. At Nassau you will stay in a hotel not near the dive operation (they pick you up). Nassau has all the nightlife, casinos and lots of restaurant choices.
