Suggestion New Posts search timeout?

I use the new posts function a lot but often if there are lots of posts the system times out and when I go back from answering a post the list is gone.

It looks like 2 hours is the limit.

Is it possible to make this longer?

I had a different problem. When I got back after 10 days the system showed me new posts only for the last two days. Is it possible to add few possibilities such as:
new posts from the last day, last week, last month?
In our Polish forum that's also based on php we have such options.

I think their is an addon module that does what you are requesting, I will look into it and see if we can't get it added shortly.
