Hey y'all!
I just wanted to dive in (well, the board told me to ;) ) and say hello! I just got my c-card and am doing advanced in December in Olympia, (WA) and am really excited to get to know new people and possible dive buddies!

Congrats on the recent cert and continuation into advanced! I've only done a couple of dives in the Olympia area, but hundreds in Hood Canal, you have some great diving nearby. Where will your advanced dives be?

Welcome, megs! You're becoming a diver in one of the best areas of the country to do so.

Keep an eye on the Orca Bait subforum here, and you might also want to check out our little local forum, nwdiveclub.com Between the two, you should never lack for dive buddies!

Thanks guys!
I am not actually sure where we will be diving for the class-I am guessing in the Tacoma area (we did our check outs at Marine Park Pipe and there was a AOW class there at the same time). I am super excited though!
Thanks for the link-dive buddies are definitely something I am going to need, since I just can't wait to get back in the water. Need to start getting my gear (yay!) so that it will be a bit easier, but overall I just want to immerse myself in everything so I can realy apply everything I am learning and start practicing and perfecting my skills to become a better diver. I feel so lucky to be learning around here and working with such awesome people-I know that as long as I work really hard and have fun I have a lot of great people to learn from, and skills I can learn.

See the guys at Tacoma scuba, there top notch on instructing and great to work with for gear. i just cant say enough good stuff about these guys...they dive all the time in Tacoma also. Welcome to your new passion.
