I had always wanted to learn to dive, but either did not have the money or the good health as I was well over 300lbs at one time. Fortunately I met my wonderful fiance through eHarmony who had been certified not long before we met. With her as my motivation I started my OW Diver course in December, and was certified February. Never, ever thought I'd be swimming in 40F water in January! But I loved it :)

In March we did our first certified dives together up in Tacoma and dived with Bandito. Our next 8 dives were in Jamaica, and I fear we were spoiled by 80F water temperatures! This weekend we'll be at the Dive & Travel Expo and we'll be diving on Sunday at the treasure hunt at Owen Beach. Next month we may go on another Bandito charter, and on the 26th we'll be at Clear Lake to do some moonlight dives. I think it's fair to say we're hooked!

We're both 20-somethings (I'm 25, she's 20) and looking to meet other divers in the PNW to learn where the best sites are, and how to judge the best time to dive (tides, viz etc) and also learn about special disciplines like photography, cave diving, technical diving etc.

I look forward to meeting and learning from as much of you as possible =)

Thanks for the links! I've already identified a few of the fish we found down in Jamaica :) We'll have to check out the dive sites Janna reviewed too

If you know when you are going to be up our way, shoot me a PM . . . I love diving with new divers.
