New old wetsuit?

I've found a never worn Waterproof Aries in my size for a good price. I'm brand new to diving, so I don't know much about wetsuits and how they last. Is this something you would buy? Do wetsuits degrade over time? In googling, it looks like this was a popular suit when it came out, but does it hold up now?

Yes, wetsuits can degrade over time, mostly but not entirely depending on how they were stored. Even if never used, it may lose some stretch over time and get a little brittle. But mostly it's about not storing it in direct sunlight or heat, or near things like a furnace.

Otherwise, good price and fit then go for it.
