We have a big ReefCheck training program on the North Coast. Here at Humboldt State we crank out about 50 every fall. I was on what I believe is still the Northernmost site, Trinidad Bay. It was an epic upwelling with 10 ft viz 45 degrees. We still need to change the Reefcheck t-shirt, it says San Diego to Eureka, there was never a survey in Eureka but farther North.
And just my two cents, but I personally like listening to the Life Aquatic soundtrack underwater.
"I'll have hans fetch you a beanie and a speedo, wait do the interns get their own glock?"
"No they share one."
