I am a new diver and I am certified through SSI. I live in the Myrtle Beach, SC area and I want to know where the best wrecks are on the North Carolina Coast. I only have 14 logged dives so I am very new at this!

Hi there,

Welcome on :sblogo:

Have fun :D

Welcome! That was a loaded question you asked. There's great diving all up & down the NC & SC coast. I frequent Myrtle Beach (Murrells Inlet & Little River) & dive most of the wrecks within reasonable boat travel. In NC, Morehead City & Hatteras are popular areas that are littered w/ wrecks in all depth ranges.

Dirkadiver and I dive out of Myrtle Beach quite a bit. Check out Express Scuba in Murrells Inlet and Coastal Scuba in Little River, those two are probably your best bets. If you want to go a little further north look at Aquatic Safaris in Wrightsville. I'd stick to the inshore wrecks for a while until you get some experience under your belt. After that, the best wrecks are out in the gulf stream but most are over 100fsw.

welcome aboard
