pipedope doesnt look like the same drive unless that one giant quarter, plus it hasnt been released yet.

You're right. It's not the same drive. The one pipedope is speaking of is in the standard 1.8" format. The new one from Toshiba is only .85" format. I think pipedope was just sharing the info sense the topic of microdrives was brought up, as relevent to current microdrive users. I doubt that there is a device designed to use the .85" drive yet that is in the mass market. But it's oohhh sooo cool!
