Hello,
I'm new to Scubaboard. I live in Shawnee, Oklahoma and absolutely love diving. Love Ocean diving for the clear waters and love the local lakes for the spearfishing. My whole family dives also. Gone on a lot of dive trips this year Bonaire, Cozumel 7 times, Roatan, Bahamas & Belize. Got in 300 ocean dives in les than a year so that tells everyone how much I like to dive. Hope to increase my knowledge thru some of the forums here on Scubaboard.

pdadyt, welcome to ScubaBoard. . . There are a lot of Oklahoma divers, diving Cozumel this past summer and fall. With Hurricanes and flooding, a lot of local diving has been disappointing. Always optimistic, next summer will be much better with more divers in Tenkiller and Eufala, also, lake Murray will be active again.

As a guide to the Board. . . at the top of each page, click on the "Forums" button. A long list of topics will drop down. There will be beginners and old timers discussing every piece of gear, and activity. Scroll way down that list of topics to "Regional Travel and Dive Clubs". Divers around the world will answer your questions, or just visit about their local areas. You have experience in Bonaire and Cozumel. . . you may be able to help divers that have never been and hope to travel in the future. Click on the "United States. . . Central . . . Midwest Muck Diving". It is slow because of the cold, but beginning in the Spring, there will be messages describing the water conditions, and who is going where, each weekend.

If you have questions, or answers, open up a topic and joing a discussion. Nobody ever bites unless you disagree on brands of equipment, or threaten extinction to the carp or gar. We're all experts of a very narrow field, and you have your expertise to join in. . . Welcome.

welcome aboard
