Greetings,
My name is Jason and I recently obtained my Advanced Scuba Diving certification. My last dive site was at Dive Haven in Cartersville, GA about 3 weeks ago and before then was with the manitees in Crystal River, FL during the month of March. I will be at Lake Lanier on the 4th of July and wanted to go diving while I was down there. If anyone is interested in diving and wants to dive, please let me know. I should be down there for the entire day and even up until that night watching the fireworks. A night dive wouldn't be such a bad idea either.

We will be diving Lanier this 4th about 8am in the morning before to many boats get going and stir up the water. We will be at Coney Island. It is just north between Holiday Marina and Aqualand Marina. I can post a marker # later today if you are interested. You can come by boat or park and walk from a day use area. We will be anchor hunting and just looking around to see what is in there. I have not been diving at this beach yet but it is sandy and has a rocky area also. We might be able to pick you up but our boat is just a small 17'.

Hi Jason! Check out the Lake Lanier Looney Birds here on the forum. There are a bunch of great people there. I met and dived with a few them on occasion. How was Dive Haven? I went there once and the water was like cappucino. :coffee: Has it improved any?

Did you get to go diving? We had two good dives this weekend. Viz about 3 to 5 and we came up with an alum fortress anchor and two steel anchors that are like new. We sold two here at the beach we have been on since Thursday afternoon. We are out of air now so I guess we are done for the weekend.
