If by the phrase "water to warm up", you mean thaw from a frozen state, that is probably a well-thought out plan.

My limited experience was a week in the southern Caribbean at a sweltering 80 degree water temp; beautiful.

Need the water to warm up???? Come on now, just a couple of weeks a go I was diving in 52 degree water. I did ok till I did a night dive. Hope you learn alot from the board, there is alot of good info and some very smart folks who have been diving a while on here.
