New member unsure how to use site

Hi
apologies for what may be a stupid question but how do you use this site

It seems there are postings here some of which are forums and some are blogs - also i believe there are articles. I can see how to access and reply to forums but I cannot get to grips with how to respond to blog entries, are these private blogs outside scubaboard. I can view the blog entries but cannot see how to interact with them. Also how do you write / read articles.

Here’s my attempt at the latter:

You can reply to threads two ways:
Use the green “Reply to Thread” button, or
use the “Quick reply” text box below it.

For blogs and articles there is just a text box, labeled “Leave Comment”.

Anyone can read articles. To write one you must first apply to become an author.
Go to: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/profile.php?do=editusergroups
The first group is Author. Select “Join Group” to the right, then scroll down and select “Join Group” again.
