Hi there,

I made two introductory dives in Playa del Carmen last November. My objectives were to not drown and to see whether this is an activity I would like to pursue. Success on both counts!

I just completed the eLearning part of my open water certification. Will be diving in Cozumel in November.

Since I have other expensive hobbies and since I won’t be diving more than a couple of weeks a year, apart from my own mask and snorkel, I will be renting equipment again this year. After that I will be looking to purchase a few more items, like my own fins, a basic dive computer that is readable without my reading glasses if such thing exists, a dry suit and bcd and regulator. Like in other hobbies, I will be looking for used gear in order to keep the costs down.

I am looking forward to being part of the community.

Cheers,

Pascal

Welcome to ScubaBoard. You've come to a great forum you can spend time during your surface intervals.

Get your own fins. That way you know they fit and they're the same every time you dive, not relying on whatever rentals happen to be available.
