Hello all. I doubt that anyone will read this, but I would like to introduce myself regardless. My name is Rob, and I'm a very friendly and laid back kid. I'm 18 years old, and a sophomore at CCNY, although I'm seriously considering transferring to Baruch. I just recently started researching diving, because the ocean is probably the most terrifying yet fascinating place on earth. Just the thought of being completely open and exposed to one of the most untapped places mother nature has to offer, and being at her mercy sobers me. I would like to get into rebreather diving, but I hear that the cost of the initial investment far exceeds that of s.c.u.b.a., so I might just have to settle.
No biggie. I don't know much about this amazing lifestyle, but I'm currently looking for a nearby school to get certified. I live on the border of Brooklyn and Queens, but I'm willing to travel if the instruction is worth it. In the future, I would really like to get into cave diving and wreck diving. Does anyone have any tips on how to get started? Thanks in advance to anyone who actually read this.
